Information that may be processed
Hosting and security infrastructure may record technical details such as an IP address, browser, device, access time and pages visited. These logs help deliver the site, prevent abuse and investigate technical problems.
Each tool handles only the content needed to perform the task:
- AI generator: the prompt you type and, in Photo to Skin mode, the photo you choose — only after you click Generate.
- Grab Skin: the public Minecraft Java username you enter so the current skin can be found.
- Editor and Upload: the skin image you select on your device.
- Do not submit passwords, identity documents, financial details or other sensitive information through the site's tools.
Tools that run in your browser
The standard skin upload, the editor and the sample character in the AI tool are processed locally in your browser. For those features, the file you choose is not uploaded to our servers so it can be displayed or edited.
Your browser may place the skin image in session storage so it can move between a tool and the editor. It stays on your device, can disappear when the session ends and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser.
How AI generation works
When you click Generate in Text to Skin or Photo to Skin, the prompt and any photo pass through a Cloudflare function and are sent to Runware, the provider that creates images with FLUX models. We do not maintain a database or public gallery of visitor prompts, photos or generated skins.
The finished image is made available at a Runware address and may be fetched through our proxy so your browser can convert it to the 64×64 format. Cloudflare and Runware may process technical logs and apply their own retention practices. Do not submit another person's photo without permission, and avoid images you are not comfortable sharing with the AI provider.
Third-party services
Some features rely on outside services, each with its own policies:
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, security and the functions used by the generator.
- Runware: image generation when you choose the AI tool.
- mc-heads.net and Mojang/Microsoft services: lookup of the public skin attached to the username provided.
- Google Fonts: loading the fonts shown on the site.
Cookies and storage
Cool Minecraft Skins does not operate visitor accounts or set its own advertising cookies. Infrastructure providers may use strictly necessary cookies or records for security and operation. As described above, your browser also uses session storage to transfer a skin between tools for a short time.
You can block cookies or clear site data in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if local storage is disabled.
Use and sharing
Information is used to run the tools, secure the service, resolve problems, understand technical failures and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing is limited to providers needed for the feature you selected, legal requirements, and steps needed to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the service.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the law where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to or receive a copy of personal data. Because we do not keep accounts or a database of photos and skins submitted to the tools, many requests can be handled by clearing your browser data or by contacting the provider that processed the request.
For a privacy question, use the channels shown on the About page. We may ask for enough information to locate the request and confirm that it concerns you.
Children and teenagers
Children and teenagers should use the site with a parent or guardian's involvement or permission, especially before sending a photo to the AI generator. Do not submit a child's or teenager's photo unless you have authority to approve that use.
Changes to this policy
If a feature or provider changes in a material way, this page and the date above will be updated. Continuing to use the site after an updated version is published means the revised policy is available to you here.
